Supporting members

By becoming a supporting member of l’Œil de Poisson, artists and craftspeople actively contribute to the sustainability of a space dedicated to creation, research, and experimentation in the visual arts. Members take part in the collective life of the centre, attend general assemblies, and contribute to the reflections that guide its activities, in a spirit of collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Supporting members also benefit from the following services:

• Support with preparing and reviewing applications for grants, fellowships, awards, recommendation letters, and more
• A consignment service for publications of all kinds: monographs, artist books, zines, catalogues, DVDs, CDs, etc.
• Access to l’Œil de Poisson’s documentation centre
• Subscription to the l’Œil de Poisson newsletter, which shares calls for applications from the centre and other artist-run centres in Québec, as well as information on member-only activities

Producing members

In addition to the benefits offered to supporting members, production members also have access to l’Œil de Poisson’s production workshops, located on Saint-Vallier East Street. Any individual or organization wishing to book workshop space must have paid their production membership fee, have read the regulations, and have completed the safety training offered by l’Œil.

Production members benefit from the following services:

• Access to production workshops (wood, metal, painting, and finishing)
• Personalized technical support at different stages of project development
• Access to specialized equipment and a safe working environment
• Guidance in material selection and fabrication processes
• Facilitated access to material suppliers

Yearly membership fees

Supporting member: $20

Production member: $60

To become a production member, you must contact us to schedule an appointment and complete the safety training.

Yearly membership for organizations : 100 $

*The organization must be a recognized entity (whether non-profit or otherwise) established within the arts or cultural sector.

Membership is valid for one year from the date of payment.
